Bio: I'm a D.I.Yer who mainly likes to do a lot of building and taking what we already have and making it better. Started when my husband and I decided that we wanted nicer things (we still have the furniture and everything we had from when we first got married.. most of it from craigslist). While the stuff we got was nice at the time for two newlyweds in the military (well him at least). Now we have a daughter and we enjoy having company over. It's amazing how much clutter can build up when you have a military husband and a young daughter. Not to mention how fast kids grow out of their clothes. Then you have the fact that I like to redo the house every so often. So after much talking and looking stuff up, plus I'm pretty handy and if I dont know how to do it then I'll figure it out, and we realized how easy it would be for me to just do things myself! Same goes for cooking. It's so much cheaper to just cook things at home than it is to go out to eat. So, in light of all that, VOILA! Jill of Most Trades was born! Yes I say "Most" not "All". For example I can build a shelf, reupholster a couch, turn a photo frame into a chalkboard, make a roast completely from fresh ingredients, and make clothes for our daughter..... HOWEVER, for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the oil in a car. Changing a tire was hard enough.
